Megan began her whirlwind journey in the beauty industry 11 years ago through cosmetology program based in Plant City. After many classes about hair, skin, and nail care, she finally decided to take a class on eyelash extensions. Simply on a whim, only really seeking to expand her repertoire. The first time she ever picked up a set of lash tweezers lit a spark in her. She knew immediately eyelashes were her passion. That’s where her story truly begins.

When she started her own business 4 years ago, there weren’t too many regulations for eyelash extensions yet. So, she started as a mobile business, driving from client to client. Lashes in your living room, hauling a portable massage table and a ring light from place to place. Only 6 months later, her business grew so quickly and she needed to upgrade to a more permanent space. She chose a salon suite rental in Brandon, FL. Here, she met Leann Barrett, her current business partner. Leann, specializing in custom brow waxing; and Megan, specializing in eyelash extensions. In rooms right next to each other, nonetheless! Needless to say, they hit it off instantly. Their businesses partnered seamlessly, and continued to naturally bloom off one another. Shortly later, there was a need for yet another expansion, and only a year later, ‘Blink Beautique’ was born.

Megan’s sharp eye for detail, ability to see beauty in all things, and passion for helping others reach their highest potential and self-confidence has not only enabled her to build an extremely loyal clientele, but inspired her to start teaching certification classes in her limited spare time. Now, less than three years after opening their first location, Megan and Leann have successfully launched their second Blink Beautique location!

Leann’s journey as a Master Brow Artist and Body Waxing Expert began in 2009 when she obtained her esthetician license and certifications in the Brazilian waxing technique. She has continuously honed her art and skills by working in various spas, helping thousands of individuals with waxing services.

Leann is also passionate about eyebrow shaping. She became an eyebrow specialist at Nordstrom’s Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Studio, one of the best in the world, and an arch expert for Benefit Cosmetics at Ulta Beauty.

A perfectionist by nature, Leann has applied her own twist on the technique of brow shaping. She has such precision and a knack for tasteful, subtle hints of definition, shading and color theory that it comes alive in the creation of a perfect brow.

Leann’s positive, friendly attitude has developed long-term relationships with clients while keeping them hair-free and carefree above and below the brows!

Hey Beautiful! I’m Kasey and my journey through the beauty industry began in 2011. When I first went to school, I was certain that I wanted to do makeup for my career but after learning all about the different services offered by estheticians, I quickly fell in love with skincare and waxing.

I started my career by working at a holistic spa that focused on energetic healing as well as natural skincare using Eminence organic products. I also went to additional classes to learn Brazilian waxing because that was such a demanding service here in south Florida.
After working for the holistic spa, I decided to join forces with a hair salon in the Valrico area and began offering chemical peel & microdermabrasion services to my clients as well as full body waxing. I made several friends with the hair stylists and nail artists, but I was the only esthetician and wasn’t growing my book of clients as quickly as I’d hoped. I made the decision to return to the hospitality industry to better provide for my young family and put my beauty business dreams on hold.

Fast forward to 2017, I’d been of being back in the beauty industry for a few years but was too nervous to make the transition. Thanks to my connections from the hair salon, my path crossed with Leann, and I met with her and Megan for an interview to work for them at their 6 month old business that we all know and love called Blink Beautique. I told them that I had just left the doctor’s office earlier that day and found out that I was 6 weeks pregnant. I wasn’t sure if they’d want to hire a pregnant girly but they both welcomed me to the team and were excited for the first “Blink baby.”

Since then, I’ve studied the art of classic & volume lash extensions, lash lifts, facial services and chemical peels. I’ve worked at several salons in the Bay Area, but Blink Beautique has by far been my favorite. The family atmosphere and team of dynamic women was what I’d always hoped to be a part of. My book of clients continues to grow each day and I’m excited to meet my next forever client.

Hey! My name is Stephanie & I’ve been a part of the Blink family since before Blink Beautique established its infamous name! I started my journey as one of Megan’s mobile lash clients & then became Leann’s loyal waxing client a couple years after. I absolutely loved the way these women made me feel each and every time I saw them and I knew I wanted to do the same for other people. When the opportunity presented itself, it was a no brainer to put my energy into becoming a Blink Babe.

In 2018, I graduated from Beauty and Health Institute on the academic deans list, and obtained extra certification in dermaplaning & microneedling, knowing that skincare was my true passion. I helped open Blink Beautique Riverview and maintained my high level of achievement becoming a brow and body waxing specialist! I am also 3x certified through PCA skincare and am knowledgeable in chemical peel services. I am obsessed with my craft and the power I have in making clients feel like their best selves!

In May of 2021 I gave birth to my first child, a beautiful baby girl, and I am no longer at the salon every working day/hour like before. However the few days I am in, you will surely catch me laughing and bringing forth sunshine to my clients and fellow artists. Hi, my name is Micah Scott, I have been in the healthcare industry for over 20 years. I started out as a nursing assistant working at a nursing home in my mid 20’s..  Four years later, I completed my bachelor’s at USF in nursing. and after only 2 years of working in the hospital, I decided to go back to school again for my master’s at USF to become an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and graduated with a double major in psychology and nursing. Initially, I went into Palliative care drawing upon my 18 years of experience of working with the elderly. However, when the part of the company that I worked for had dissolved; I had to find another job. I had to do deep soul-searching because all I had really known was Palliative and Hospice care. I thought well, what did I want to do when I was 18? I remembered that I wanted to become a dermatologist (I had terrible acne) So I thought, why not find a job working in dermatology.  I found a job working at a dermatology office, but it also included cosmetic dermatology and I absolutely loved it. However, after time, I realized I wanted to do less skin biopsies and shift more into the aesthetics industry. So, I left my NP position in Dermatology and went on to work at a med spa where I could do aesthetics 100%. My education and skills quickly advanced. I became highly sought after there as my work and reputation for injectables (Botox and fillers) grew. Clients loved me, and their results. I knew I had found my niche.
So how did I end up at Blink? Well Megan has been doing my lash extensions for over 2 years now. In fact, she has heard my entire life story. Anyway, she mentioned in one of our sessions that her Botox/filler guy had stopped coming. As you can imagine, it did not take long for us to develop a plan to get me started at Blink. We threw our first Botox party on December 1st, 2023 and it was a huge success!  Leanne and Megan graciously agreed to add me to the family. I am so proud to say I now work for Blink every other Friday.

My name is Naya! For as long as I can remember, I have been intrigued by hair and beauty. My passion for braiding was sparked by my beautiful grandmother, who used to braid all the time. I grew up in two different worlds because I was bi-racial. I remember my father’s side of the family could come to any salon and be serviced, while my mother’s side had to search high and low for a salon that serviced them or braided their hair. That is what ignited my passion for my craft.

I will continue striving for excellence and creating the most aesthetically pleasing braid styles for each hair texture. I have now been braiding hair professionally for over two years, and words cannot express how much I love my career. I absolutely cannot wait to meet many new faces and create magic in my chair.
